Teaming up with the esteemed professionals at RTKL, my design journey took me to Dubai, where we collectively embraced a non-traditional approach to craft a community-oriented mall. This innovative vision unfolded through the strategic implementation of a “streets and squares” strategy, seamlessly integrating the exterior streetscape into the interior realm. Shopfront detailing, captivating lighting, inviting canopies, and other elements reminiscent of a traditional European shopping district were meticulously curated to elevate the overall experience.

Among the distinctive features are three enchanting “pocket parks” strategically nestled within the mall. These green retreats serve as versatile spaces for dining, sports, leisure activities, and community events, contributing to the creation of a dynamic and engaging environment. Further enhancing the visitor experience is the Urban Market, a dedicated dining destination that promises a culinary journey through diverse gastronomic offerings.

Adding a touch of grandeur and versatility is a large skylight canopy, serving dual purposes as both an architectural focal point and a projection screen. This innovative feature transforms the mall into a dynamic venue for events and promotions, providing a captivating backdrop for immersive displays.
